Race For A Cure

The Thunder Stock Division at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway will be presenting the 3rd Annual Race for the Cure Fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society on July 16th.

Sponsors for this event so far are:

• Can Do Delivery
• Custom Courier
• Cowan Graphics
• The Media Group

Can Do Delivery, Custom Courier will be decaling some of their vehicles to advertise this event as well as inviting their customers to pledge donations.

Pledge packages will be given out to all Drivers on June 18th. The classes racing on the evening of July 16th will be the Mini Stocks, Street Stock and Western Elite Classes. However, all divisions at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway are invited to take part in gathering pledges.

There will be a barbeque (sponsor TBD) prior to the Race for the Cure on July 16th for the drivers that are going to be racing that night. All proceeds will be going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Custom Courier will be donating the trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Thunder Stock Drivers and for the top 3 Fundraising Race Teams at ACMS.  Cowan Graphics has printed 2 4x8’ signs advertising the event as well as they are printing up Race for the Cure car decals for all that participate in the event.

Pledges can be done either by pledge form or via the Canadian Cancer Society Website. The Cancer Society will be putting a Web Page on their Site that will detail the drivers/Teams participating in this even.

2 for 1 Tickets for July 16th have been printed up specifically for this date. Already 500 were given out at Relay for Life on June 10th. The following drivers participated in this display at Diefenbaker Park display: Ryan Lange driver of the #12 Can Do Delivery Thunder Stock, Zachary Jalbert Driver of the #4 Mini Stock, Ryan Thompson driver of the #33 Estrada Wines Street Stock and Rick Kucher driver of the #38 Napa Auto Parts Pro Truck. Schedules for ACMS were handed out along with the tickets and the reception that was received was outstanding!

This is the 3rd Annual Race for the Cure that has been organized and we would like this to be bigger than the last 2 years! It was determined that since this is a Fund Raising Event the top 3 Winners of the Thunder Stock Race for the Cure Feature will be presented with a trophy and they will have the Bragging Rights until next year’s Race for the Cure! All money raised will go to the Canadian Cancer Society to support this worthwhile cause.
