The Saskatoon Stock Car Racing Association would like to send condolences to the family of Lloyd Cooper.

The family of Lloyd is deeply saddened to have to announce his passing on May 2, 2014, at the age of 79. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Loretta, sons Dale (Bonnie), Jeff (Jackie), Doug & Kevin; grandchildren, Lee, Candice, (Bryan), Jordyn, Curtis & Conner; great-grandchildren, Brett, Dryden, Taylor, Shelby & Gage; also many friends & relatives. He was predeceased by his father, Harry, mother Tony (Antoinette), sister Ivy, & step father Nick Hrychuk & many relatives. Lloyd was very talented at many things, he worked hard and was always there to help when needed. He worked many years at the Saskatoon Transit System as a body repairman until his retirement at the age 58. he was an avid and very successful stock car racer, winning many trophies in his younger years at the then 8th Street Motordrome. He loved fishing at Jackfish and Turtle Lakes, where he built cabins and spent many years. He also had a great passion for playing the guitar and spent weekends doing so with numerous musically talented friends. He also enjoyed many trips to Vegas with his loving wife, Loretta. Lloyd was born and raised North Battlefordand later moved to Saskatoon, where he metand married his loving wife Loretta and in years to come, had four wonderful sons. He will surely be missed by friends and family forever. At the request of Lloyd, there will be no funeral. Cremation is entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home. We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one, but will love and remember them forever. Lloyd (Dad), you will be surely missed. Love you forever. Rest in peace.
