Saturday September 15th was an exciting points final extravaganza with four divisions wrapping up their season. The divisions racing included the Part Source Mini Stocks, SKL Trailers Pro Trucks, Mid West Combustion WEST series and the Dakota Dunes WCSLMCS. The action started early in the day with a three car crash in the Dakota Dunes practice that had teams scrambling to get damaged cars repaired, all teams affected were able to get repaired in time.

The SKL Trailers Pro Truck division were first up after WEST and Dakota Dunes qualifying. The first heat race saw #49 Shantel Firth have a great run and bring home the checkers. #01 Alex Leschenko finished second, #27 Scott Lucas rounded out the top three. In the qualifier Mike Schroeder driver of the #34 street stock came out and drove his #3 Pro Truck. He proved he has what it takes to win in the Pro Truck series as he showed the regulars the way to victory lane. #93 Neil Schneider finished second and #18 “Wild” Bill Zubrecki wound up in third. The Skl Trailers Pro Truck feature race was a 50 lap action packed event. Once again #3 Mike Schroeder put on a clinic as he got out front and drove away for the win. #93 Neil Schneider tried hard to keep up with Mike but had to settle for second, Shantel Firth in the #49 held off the pack to take third.

Once the seasons points were tallied #27 Scott Lucas came out on top, #50 Ben Pogoda was in second and #14 Wade Wohlford finished a strong third.

The Part Source Mini Stocks are a strong division this year with 18 cars registered for the season. In the first heat #42 Landry Boisvert found his way back to victory lane followed by #7 Darnell Schick and #41 Jamie Tataryn who had a great run bringing home third. In the divisions qualifier race, #10 Kevin Dyck got the win with #1 Scott Barrand in second and rookie driver #17 Jared Reddekopp had a phenomenal run finishing in third. The Part Source Mini Stock feature race of the night was a 50 lap event. #10 Kevin Dyck worked his way through the pack and pulled out to a lead, it looked like he would easily claim his 7th feature win of the season when with seven laps to go the yellow came out bunching the pack up. When the green flag came out Kevin was able to sneak away leaving the battle for second between #95 Clay Wagner, #42 Landry Boisvert and #7 Darnell Schick with the #42 taking second leaving the #95 in third.

Once the seasons points were calculated #7 Darnell Schick claimed his first championship with #10 Kevin Dyck hot on his heels in second and #1 Scott Barrand in third.

The Midwest Combustion Western Elite StockCar Tour started their evening off with qualifying, Nathan Weenk in the #48 took top honours with a time of 15.319.

In the first heat race of the night #48 Nathan Weenk took the win with #21 Nick Allen in second and #04 Tim Kammer finishing third. In the qualifier #48 Nathan Weenk once again captures the victory, #94 Jason Hankewich had a great run coming in second and #04 Tim Kammer finished third again. The Midwest Combustion Western Elite StockCar Tour feature race was 50 laps. Nathan Weenk brought his #48 into victory lane to complete his perfect night. Once again #94 Jason Hankewich finished second and #21 Nick Allen rounded out the top three.

With #48 Nathan Weenk's phenomenal season it's no surprise to see him win the championship, #21 “Nitro” Nick Allen finished second in the points and rookie driver #12 Mathew Shirley finished a solid third.

The Dakota Dunes Casino Western Canadian Super Late Model Championship Series had their fourth and final race event at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in 2012, twenty four teams showed up go for the win. Qualifying times for the fastest sixteen guaranteed teams a spot in the race – starting order was determined by the finishing order in the heat races.

Qualifying started this event off with #71 Greg Vangool of Saskatoon getting the pole in 14.368, with #24 Cameron Hayley of Priddis Alberta in second at 14.554. These two would be offered a chance to start the feature race from the rear for a shot at some extra cash... but more on that later.

Top three finishers for the two heat races were #70 Trent Seidel (Saskatoon), #14 Glen Hertzke (Saskatoon) in second and #71 Greg Vangool (Saskatoon) in third in the first heat; and #33 Jamie McClennon (Wainwright,AB) in first, #38 Dave Bone (Martensville) in second and in third #Cameron Hayley (Priddis,AB) in the second heat. Top three positions for the B Main went to drivers #22 Doug Bienia (Hague), #07 Greg Moir (Spruce Grove,AB), and #67 Ken Ross (Martensville).

Starting order had been determined for the 150 lap feature race by previous events of the day - but back to the earlier mentioned twist. As a bonus for achieving the top two qualifying spots #71 Greg Vangool and #24 Cameron Hayley were offered an additional $500 payout if they won the race…but the catch…they had to start the race from the back. A tough feat to work their way through the field of cars....but both agreed to give it a shot, with a little help from the crowd! Then the big dice came out….a 7 was rolled…meaning that the front seven positions (after #71 Greg Vangool and #24 Cameron Hayley took their spots at the back) were inverted. Now the starting order was finalized.

The race was tight…and fast, lots of great action and a total of eight caution flags. #56 Howard Crossman ended up with the pole position and held onto the lead for the first thirteen laps before #70 Trent Seidel took over the top spot. Five laps later #33 Jamie McClennon made the pass on Trent and drove off to a dominating victory. #71 Greg Vangool and #24 Cameron Hayley methodically worked their way through the pack headed for the front. Progress was going great until #71 had electrical problems and had to pit for repairs. #24 was able to work his way up to third where he battled for several laps with the #70 Trent Seidel. Eventually #24 Cameron Hayley would take second place but was out of laps and unable to mount a charge on the #33 Jamie McClennon and Trent Seidel put the #70 on the podium in third spot for the second race in a row.

With his consistent top three finishes #70 Trent Seidel took home the points championship, #33 Jamie McClennon of Wainwright Alberta finished second and #71 Greg Vangool wound up third.
