WCSLMCS & legends SPECIAL EVENT The first Auto Clearing Motor Speedway Driver Profile - Ken Ross - #67 Super Late Mod Here is my racing history: Started on a pit crew with a buddy of mine in 1985, hold on...flashback story: my friend and I were pulling our Thunder car on a tow bar on the gravel road and had "jack-knifed" it. Just then a black Trans Am pulled up. I remember when the dust cleared the door opened and the widest white pant leg I've ever seen stepped out. The guy had a large black mustache, shirt unbuttoned he asked "are you cats okay?" I figured out later at the track that he was the flag man Mr. Rick Elliot. Back to the history, I started driving in Thunder cars in 1987, switched to street stock in 1991, Cascar Sportsman in 2000, Pro Trucks in 2006 and now late model in 2012. I've been fortunate enough to drive with a wide range of characters. I'm terrible at racing on dirt, ice and go carts (and I'm okay with that).

have mixed feelings. The actual race will be a challenge that I am ready to try. The part that concerns me is the people. Are they nice? Are they out to have fun or win at all cost? I know the local guys are nice, keep in mind that in the Pro Truck class we shared information with each other and anyone was welcome to look at our set up, if they could make my set up go faster than they were better. This Super Late Model class is very competitive, a lot of secrets and closed hoods, this is where I will struggle. Last year an out of town late model competitor slammed his hood in my face, I had been standing back and admiring it as a fan. It was explained to me that some guys are very competitive and looking is not always welcome. Good thing I wasn't wearing my spy vision x-ray goggles!
