Round Four Racing

On the track tonight you will see three local divisions competing, the Budget Car & Truck Rental Street Stocks, the SKL Trailers Pro Trucks and the Cooper Tires Thunder Stocks. It is the third event of the season for them…and the battles are close.

If you haven't purchased your NASCAR Canadian Tire two-day event tickets yet....you should do so soon. Grandstand seating is over 1/3 sold out! On Wednesday July 25th, the Astro Towing Pro Truck 100 will be run and following that race the main event, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series drivers will compete in the fourth annual Velocity Prairie Thunder 250. Your $45 two day admission package includes free entry into the local race points meet on Tuesday July 24th where the Part Source Mini Stocks, the SKL Trailers Pro Trucks and the WSSL Super Late Models will compete. Driver Profile - curtis moore - #17 Thunder stock

Well here is the skinny, I have been around Auto Clearing Motor Speedway for about five years now and racing for four - after sitting in the stands one night, I said "got to get me one of them cars." I had raced a few Enduros but went full in 2008 when I built a 1978 Caprice in to a Thunder Stock car - #17. That's my number and don't rub it off! We raced the car for two years and realized the cost was getting high so we packed it in, got a few trophies and flags to say I did it!

One of the biggest things I did was being a partner in the start of the Race For A Cure at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway. I tried to make it every year for at least that race with a car, but sometimes it just didn't work out. This year, I am coming back for a full season, as yes car #17 again, but a new ride! This year I am running a 1966 Impala two door hardtop that has a lot of history and if you really want to know, this car was a ... wait for it, wait for it, it was a Super Sport big block car in its day and I am kind of sure that the cage is from Tun Harms Super Stock #10. So history, ya its got it.

We are looking forward to coming out this season and having some fun again and Race For A Cure, you bet I will be trying to kick some asphalt this season. I don't have much on crew - well, I am crewless in Saskatoon right now and Brad has his own car to deal with. But for everyone that as helped out so far thanks a lot!

Go into the pits after the races and make sure you make your way to Curtis` pit stall to sign his pink race car!
