Round Three Racing

On the track this evening are two strong local divisions, the Parts Source Mini Stocks and the Budget Car & Truck Rental Street Stocks. In the Mini Stock division the points spread between positions one and four is only 7 points! KATELNIKOFF holds the lead in the Street Stock division but ANDERSON and WRENNICK aren’t that far behind!

Also tonight, it is the first ACMS race for the Western Elite StockCar Tour and the Sask. Legends Series for 2012! In the West Series – watch for youngster SHIRLEY (son of Dan Shirley) and BUSCH (last year’s champion). Then in the brand new Sask. Legends Series, you should see sixteen or more of these awesome cars on the track.

Don’t forget to fill out your entry form in the program for the TCU Ultimate Racing Experience and drop it into the draw box! You could be the lucky one to win a fabulous trip to for two to watch a NASCAR race! Driver Profile - jordan dalsgaard - #17 Street Stock

I started going to the races in Saskatoon when I was 11 years old - we had family racing in the Thunder Stock division, then my mom got a Street Stock and was racing in Rosetown on the dirt track in 2005 and I helped her in the pits at age 15. I ran a couple mechanics races out there for her and got the bug. I started out being my mom’s mechanic in her Street Stock now she is mine. When Trevor Hannay was racing modified race cars in 2005, we took it out one night and I got to drive it on the dirt and that was a lot of fun.

I was and still am on the pit crew of #44 SLM Trevor Hannay and have been going on for 4 years now, he let me take the SLM out for a spin on a practice night in 2010 and it was nothing short of amazing, especially when I came in and they told me I ran a 15.1 second lap. Trevor has been the driving force of me getting behind the wheel of my Street Stock and I have learned a lot of valuable intel from him as far as set up and driving. I still have lots to learn but have lots of help from my family in the way of racing and sponsorship.

I got my Street Stock last year from Brian MacPhearson after it sat for 10 years. It was a top 5 car in the late ninety's at Bridge City Speedway and we brought it out of retirement last year to win the Phoenix Award (award for worst luck), it was a long tough year with lots of mechanical issues. This year we have put in a new motor and hope to be a contender and am going to strive to win something better than the Phoenix Award at the banquet this year. I have loved racing since I can remember playing Mario Kart on my Nintendo and getting in behind the wheel of my own car last year has been the highlight of my life. The second highlight was actually being able to finish a race this year with no issues.

I love going going out to the track each weekend. Everyone is friendly out there and is always willing to lend a hand if you need it. I’m looking forward to 2012.
