ROUND FOUR RACING - BRING ON THE SPEED For many drivers and fans...this is the event we've been waiting for...the first of the five race Dakota Dunes Casino Western Canadian Super Late Model Championship Series. Thanks to WSSL for sponsoring the feature race of the night! Tonight also features the Western Sportsman division and the visiting Super Trucks.
DRIVER PROFILE - JEFF REIMER - #5 SUPER LATE MODEL
Q: How do you like to set your LM up? A: A tad loose, a controlled slide is where I am comfortable. If you are too tight, you hit the wall dead on. I prefer to pancake the wall-LOL. Q: Describe your pre-race routine. A: I have a ritual-wash and clean car each time to check for leaks and put a wrench on every nut and bolt to tighten everything. I scale it each time and check alignment between every meet with the crew – I have a list to check off each thing from fuel to water to drink. It makes racing more enjoyable to come to the track prepared. Q: What do you enjoy most about SLM racing? A: Combination-The rivalry between the drivers, figuring out what adjustments to make to find how the car handles different-figuring out other drivers and who to safely race beside. I love the speed and I love the fans whether they are cheering for me or against me it makes it that much more fun. Q: Did you change the car over the winter? A: Whole new set up-new springs, new control arms, new GM crate motor going from the dodge motor. Excited to see how it works. Q: Where did you learn about your new set up? A: Research and talking to other teams. We were a tenth off the front runners last year so we completely redid the set up to try to gain that. Q: Do you drive with two feet or one foot? A: 2 foot driver-mental note every lap “take foot off brake”. Q: Do you have anything you would like to add? A: Thanks Kevin McMillan for running under my number last race due to engine trouble. It was a good test session for him as well as he installed a new port city clip. Q: What’s your goal for 2011? A: See if we can bring that thing to the front even if I gotta turn it around and go the other direction-LOL. TH ACMS POINTS STANDINGS (as of June 4th, 2011)

Q: When did you start racing? A: In ’99 I started in the enduro car raced that for a couple of years. I then built a street stock which I raced for another couple of years before I rolled it end over end. The car apparently held up good as it has been through numerous owners since and is currently the chassis for the Jim Goodlad ProTruck. I then moved into the SLM division and have been there since. After seeing that wall coming at me in the street I figured I should get something faster so I would not have time to see the wall coming at me.
