Western Elite StockCar Tour- sponsored by Siemens Transportation Group Inc.
The Western Elite StockCar Tour (WEST) is a newly formed series of races organized over the last three months, specifically for drivers of the former CASCAR Western Series and local CASCAR Sportsman drivers, and administered by Auto Clearing Motor Speedway. In its inaugural season there will be 5 WEST races, 4 at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon and the other at Race City in Calgary, Alberta. It is intended that WEST races will be hosted by other tracks in the future.

The objective of this series is to build a competitive race series with a professional image and appearance. The race program will be consistent from track to track and the emphasis will be to provide fans and corporate partners with some exciting competitive racing that showcases drivers and their crew. The WEST rules package was developed with  both cost and competition in mind. Racers will be allowed to run crate engines to reduce costs and the official tire for the series is the 8" Goodyear race tire.

From a local perspective, the WEST provides local drivers an opportunity to improve their skills by racing against the best. As of April 20th 13 drivers had registered for the Western Elite Division at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway - which provides them access to the 4 WEST races being held in Saskatoon. It is expected that a minimum of 20 drivers will be on hand for the first WEST race in Saskatoon on June 2nd.

Tow Money - All drivers who travel in excess of 150km to enter and race in any one of the 5 WEST races will be provided $300 in tow money on the day of the race.
Points Fund - A Points Fund is being established that drivers will be able to share in. The amount each driver receives from the Points Fund will be based on two factors, the total number of points earned over the course of the 5 WEST races and the number of WEST races that they raced in. Please click here for more details on the WEST 2007 Points Fund. As at April 26, the total monies available to be paid out in either Tow Money or the Points Fund is $40,000. Efforts are ongoing to increase this amount.
