Super Late Model's are the
fastest cars at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway and use a modern or domestic late
model aftermarket fibre glass body on a fully fabricated tubular racing chassis
with complete driver safety systems. Suspension systems are designed and
fabricated completely for racing with coil over shocks and rack and pinion
steering etc. Tires are a 10 inch wide Goodyear racing slick on all four corners
mounted to 10-inch wide racing wheels. These cars are allowed to be very light
with a minimum weight as low as 2800 lbs with as much as 57% of that weight
allowed on the left side and 50% of the total weight allowed on the rear.
Engines are cast iron maximum 355 CID and are allowed to be modified for racing
with aftermarket heads and aluminum intake manifold, 650 CFM four barrel
carburetor and racing headers.
Starting this
season and to help equal competition, SLM's will be allowed to run an unmodified
GM racing crate engine with aluminum heads and roller cam shaft. Again with this
move Auto Clearing Motor Speedway is leading the way in Western Canada. Racers
from our SLM Division have been known to compete at and win at tracks all over
western Canada and northwestern U.S.A
