Pro Truck Division - sponsored
by SKL TRAILERS
Sponsored
by SKL TRAILERS, the Pro Truck Division is a
new Division to Western Canada and to Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in 2006. These trucks do
not start life as a factory pick up truck but are purpose built racing vehicles
with some limitations on them to help reduce operating costs.
With a full roll
cage and driver safety systems, the body of a Pro Truck is an aftermarket fiberglass racing reproduction of 2006 Ford, Chev, Dodge,
or Toyota full size
pick up trucks. Chassis and suspension components are utilized from a GM 108.1
inch wheel base car chassis with modifications allowed for adjustability and
performance such as weight jacks.
Engines are limited to a low compression cast
iron 350 CID but are allowed aftermarket two barrel carburetors and tubular
headers. Tires are limited to street type radial tires P275/60 series mounted to
max eight inch wide racing wheels. Minimum weight is 3,200 lbs with the driver
in and restrictions are placed on left side and rear weight
percentages.
